    Not surprised about the postponement
Most people have been diverted into trying to understand what on earth Tranmere are proposing

    It’s an interesting defence

    It's not a defence, Grist. It's a listing arrangement.

The reality sitting underneath the decision is contained within the news report; there is a huge backlog of cases developing - many with defendants in custody. With all due respect to Stendel, the Barton case concerns a relatively minor assault and other more serious matters will take priority.

Unless courts can start to hear cases soon, I suspect that the Barton case will have to be put back again.

    I can appreciate that.

Listing as in a sinking ship context
