there will be hundreds available some might never get back to full time wages as clubs will cut back on playing staff once thay get back to playing to cut costs ,so i reckon clubs like queens might well get oppertunities to sign a better class of player we might normally not be able to afford to pay as most players that commanded higher wages will just have to accept huge wage drops just to get playing .

I was thinking along similar lines Francis. The fewer jobs available further up the pyramid, the more quality players looking for work at our level. Or so you’d think anyway. Could be a thin silver lining in a very dark cloud.

then it depends on how badly its effected queens compared to other clubs ,hopefully queens have managed this better than other clubs to give us a slightly better footing .there is defo going to be decent players willing to play on a fraction of there wages that thay had before this crisis started .

i have sympathy for poor semple as he bust a gut trying to get back in shape ,this will be extra hard for players like him not being able to go through squad training regimes every week during this crisis ,there will be loads of players like him in same boat ,alot of the 30 plus age group might never get back to being fit enough or sharp enough after such a long break so i can see alot of careers ending prematurely .
