Austin scored two cracking goals against Blues but doesn't put in the work rate that Kanu does. Give me Kanu over a fancy Dan any day. If he does go from the squad he will go with nothing but admiration from me.

Work rate and effort - 10/10 for me. If you said in the Championship - Kanu or a fit Dwight Gayle - I reckon 99% of people would go for Gayle! Had a fit Gayle played in our team this year we would have scored a hell of a lot more goals!

Gayle is not a Premier League player so Kanu is not by a long shot, and if we do need plan B in the Premier League it will most likely be nicking a goal from the 2/3 chances we have. That would rule out Kanu!

Don't get me wrong - think Kanu has been great this year in terms of work rate and effort, but there's no Odenwingie magic or Gayle deadly finishes from him which is needed in the top league. Just being honest..............

I think Gayle is a premier league player baggieal. Players get written off way to quickly. So is Kanu. If you look at team squads in the prem they do have more team players than they do huge transfer "stars". Will we ever pay 50 million for a player? I always think of players like Matt Holland for charlton who wasn't a worldwide star but he was crucial to that team, and played week in week out with a great attitude. Thats all we can hope for, players like that.

If we are promoted, he wouldn't be in the starting line up as hopefully we would go into the transfer market but I would have him as a squad player and get rid of Austin and Zohore. In my opinion he offers far more than either of those two

That's exactly how I feel about it.
