    The Sweet were a band who introduced me to music , first record I ever bought with my pocket money was Blockbuster .

    Without wanting to sound like a total generation music nob head .

    You guys today haven't really got a clue have you .

    RIP Steve and thanks for the memories , we all die but music never does .

    Absolutely mate. Getting a record deal was like winning the lottery.

    I’m 46 and I don’t think I could tell you a number 1 for the last ten years at least.

    Their second album ‘Sweet Fanny Adams’ took them away from their pop music to more rock and this is where they faded away from their chart fans.

    My favourite Sweet track has to be ‘Love is like Oxygen’ ..... a great sound in its day.

    Thanks for the memories. Remember them on TOTP they were fun. Steve used to add to the fun. Blockbuster great pop song. Got that & Fox is on the run. Steve meet up with your old band mates.

    They were always a Rock band if you took the popular singles and flipped them to play the B side you would think you was listening to Deep Purple.
