    Marcus Rashford

We often give a lot of stick to footballers for being greedy, selfish etc. But there are a lot of good eggs in there and we should be equally quick to highlight them too.

What a remarkable man Rashford is, starting a campaign to feed under privileged children in the UK and using his platform to put pressure on the Government to continue free school meals during the summer holidays.

I can think of no better place I'd like my taxes to go, than on food for hungry children.

Top man. He’s really genuine about it as well. Makes me wonder why we give 12 Billion a year to foreign aid with much of it unaccounted for yet we can’t feed our own hungry kids

Money is tight at the Treasury at the moment...we can't be expected to feed and house hundreds of illegal immigrants in Dover,AND feed our kids as well

If the Government can charter a cargo plane to go to Greece and bring back a plane load of sub standard goods they can surely feed the children, even if they are illegal immigrants (I haven't seen any mention of them being illegal) the children go where their parents take them and do not deserve to go hungry.

When did we get rid of child benefit? Did I miss it somewhere along the line of the handouts we give out?

It was scrapped if either parent earned £50k+, so for 2 kids it's a £4k pay cut - if both parents earned say £40k (I think) then they'd lose nothing. Bonkers.

Child benefit is to provide money for Sky and mobile phone contracts

What really impressed me was his respect for our prime minister. THAT IS THE WAY TO BEHAVE. Full of thanks and praise for the PM for listening. Kier Starmer and that Scottish SNP minister used the situation to score political points again, not Rashford. Its so easy to criticise. It takes Grace and understanding to be supportive rather than combative.
