I see the Jambos on Kickback are predictably waffling on about Villa staying up despite being in the relegation zone at lockdown and extolling finishing the League. Of course they are conveniently forgetting that there was no Governmental authority given in Scotland in sufficient time to allow re-starting plans as UEFA had dictated a decision on how domestic leagues were to be finished by May 25th, unlike in England, and of course there are the sheer costs involved in the programme that the EPL and Championship had to underwrite to allow all this which the SPFL couldn’t have afforded in a month of Sundays. That and amongst many other things.

And of course Villa were 2 points behind Watford and Bournemouth at start of lockdown not the 4 points Hearts were adrift. If they had been 4 points behind they would no have escaped relegation today.

They’ve also been prattling on about Luton and Barnsley in the Championship - but a team could have been 20 points behind and pulled it off and it still would be completely irrelevant toward the issues faced in Scotland and many other European Leagues that meant they had to call it. I’d bet they would have been happy not playing the games if it had involved a Null And Void instead. Talk about having your cake and eating it.

well the situation is in progress apparently and the rules constitute deliberation with all parties - bizzarely spfl are not allowed to contest. so this really aint between hearts and spfl its hearts/theotherone and raith, cove and united. anyway all done its down to prelimenaries - i would say friday for a result as lawyers earning £5k a day each. Tuesday announcement for new signing from man city.
