Joe Hart been released by Burnley..... At 33 hes still got a few years in him, could we pick him up on a cheap 2 year deal?? Would you?

I'd say no, he would be expensive and he seems to have lost his way. I guess being rejected by Man City hit his self confidence hard and if he couldnt rebuild his career at Burnley when he should be at his best, then he is an expensive gamble.

I'm sure Cocu is more than capable of managing and would quite like to have a solid goalkeeper with big game experience, being a good 2 touch passer is a bonus. I doubt we'll get him owing to finances, but no way are we, or Cocu's footballing phylosophy, too good to have a goal keeper of Hart's quality.

This quality keeper your talking about, is he the one that was a disaster in Italy and hasn't been able to make Burnley's first team?

He was an excellent keeper, but he hasn't been playing well for something like 4 years, therefore an expensive gamble!

Tbf Hart has been kept out by the excellent Nick Pope who has made the sixth highest number of saves in the Prem. and, I think, kept the joint second number of clean sheets.
That’s a hell of an achievement at a club like Burnley. Besides I thought you liked a gamble, Swale...you seem a bit ‘risk averse’ on this one to me.
