Best three keepers in League 1 were Sanchez on loan at Rochdale, Marosi
    Coventry City keeper and Iversen.
Any keeper coming in permanently would want a two year minimum contract.
We’re not frightened of a keepers wage although Westwood would have to take a big drop in wages hence why it’s cheaper short term to use the loan system.

Not sure what contract Westwood has left. Maybe he’d like a change that sees him playing regularly and it would still be in the championship. He lives in Sheffield so no uprooting his family. A total win win all round for him and us.

He would though have to take a big pay cut but something is better than nothing.

I know he’s not going to be cheap or any other decent keeper but think like many have already said this covid virus has brought a touch of reality and perhaps given us a bit more of a chance re wages contracts etc If Westwood is a bad apple he won’t be entertained by Warne, if he isn’t he could do a lot worse than us on a 2 year contract for a 35 year old

According to this report from Feb this year he hasn't had a fall out with Gary Monk, not a bad apple either.
Does say he's believed to be one of the top earners.
They've already offloading their top earners starting with Jordan Rhodes.
He won't get anywhere near what he earns at Wednesday's.

Is he really going to try that hard and put the effort in if he's taken a huge pay cut.
One last payday syndrome and I doubt if Tone is going to allow another Dexter.

These players on big money may be surprised how little they will be offered in future. A few things may change when all this upheaval is over.
Some may be grateful just to have a job.
