Championship-bound Coventry City have signed full-back Julien Dacosta on a three-year deal following his departure from French side FC Chamois Niort.

The 24-year-old made 80 appearances for the Ligue 2 club after joining them in 2017 from Marseille.

"Julien is a player we've been monitoring for some time now," said Coventry boss Mark Robins.

"He's a pacy and powerful defender, who also brings attacking attributes to the side."

Blackpool have signed defender Marvin Ekpiteta on a two-year deal after his contract ended with League Two side Leyton Orient.

The 24-year-old made 79 appearances for Orient after joining the O's from non-league side East Thurrock in January 2018.

Orient say they offered the centre-back "numerous terms" in 2019-20 to sign a new contract, however he turned down a deal.

Seen Costa play twice for Leeds (live) and and in one game he was subbed for Hernandez who completely turned the game around for Leeds to go on and win.

Costa, 16 million? He couldn’t lace the Tree’s boots. What a waste of money. Shows Leeds have some clout though and are prepared to spend, unwisely I might add.
