Most unfairly (possibly!) disliked player

2 players I hated possibly unfairly were David Partridge and Allan Smart!

Few others that may belong in the category that I hated were Tony Smith, Tony Mols, Marc Cocozza, Stephen Carson, Heaney - all guys that are only unfairly disliked because they hardly played for us - but they were all dreadful

i disliked lee miller, spent real money on him and was just overrated. made worse from him then going to other teams and scoring v us all the time it seemed.

more recently i didnt like Rudi skacel. the 51 top nonsense, his lack of showing any real interest (apart from v hibs) just looked like he didnt care.

Agree, I was looking forward to seeing Skacel play for us but he was the ultimate mercenary git.

Frank Kopel used to get a lot of stick,some will be surprised but so did Bannon.Ralphie got it too from time to time for probably not realising his full potential.

John Souttar probably deserves a mention, lauded when he broke into the team, not least his ability to stroll through games, but turned on by a section of support when things went downhill at United for his playing style, which was now seen as not trying, but which had never really changed. Still plays the same way, on the rare occasions when fit.

I seem to remember a real dislike for Barry Douglas too, which i never understood, i thought he was a decent player who was developing well at United, great delivery, even if he preferred to cross from deep and didn't get to the bye line enough. Made an excellent career for himself, and of course was instrumental in Andy Robertson coming to United. Maybe suffered coming after Dixon and before Robertson.

Think Lee Miller deserved the stick from stands, used to just flop to the ground anytime the ball went near him.
