You support abolishing the police, agree that climate change is racist, agree that prisons should be abolished, agree that appointing South Asians to prominent positions is as racist as appointing whites, and agree with the total abolition of borders with associated immediate access to full benefits for all immigrants? You’re more radical than I thought. I’ve had deep discussions with my two BAME future son in laws about this, and about the fact that it sets one (of full African descent) and the other (African/South Asian) against each other...
Ram, there’s a difference between those you describe as ‘rent a mob’ and genuine BLM protestors. Personally I don’t for one moment support the hurling of objects at the police but I do support the BLM cause.
I agree the police are having a hard time at the moment, but let’s not confuse illegal parties, ridiculously irresponsible ‘migrations’ to the beach and the countryside, or unwise football celebrations with BLM activities.[/QUOTE]
I agree that there is a difference between the genuine blm protesters and the the splinter groups, but for God's sake, why do the leaders of the Blm and leaders of Centre left parties refuse to condemn these people, who are diverting attention from their cause. They even try to justify their actions, by saying that they are frustrated.
These were the first riots against the police, leading others to join in and play let's attack the police and get away with it.
Ironically, these people are enjoying the freedom to get away with it in our country. They wouldn't dare try it, in many countries around the world.
One thing confuses me about taking the knee before games. I get that Colin Kaepernik and others did it during the anthem before nfl games, which is why he and others got criticism. But what is its relevance before a football match with no anthems.
Isn't it a bit disrespectful to George Floyd who took a knee which proved fatal - or is that the point?
What exactly are they protesting here, and why are the BBC (amongst others) so keen to push it - we all have the same opportunities, education, healthcare, welfare, and legal protection?
Well you're not looking hard enough mate.
George Floyd was a trigger, many pent up frustrations came out.
You are purely looking at it, from the point of view of what YOU want it to mean.
Of course it is about inequalities and bad treatment. Quite right as well.
But it has gotten into bed with anarchists and far left activists.
You will see the demands vary from country to country.
Some of them border on the ridiculous.
I gave you a video to watch of one of the activist organisers from this country in a tv interview.
What were his demands?
Definitely not what you believe in RA.
1. Withdrawal of all police funding, leading to its abolition. In effect he claims, the public should police itself.
2. Abolition of capitalism
3. Withdrawal of western lifestyle and culture, WTF that ever means?
I started this about the BBC being out of order against that guy, with their behaviour. Especially using public money.
However, theya re not on their own. There is a real agenda going on here, with the establishment and the media,
Break ranks and you get stomped on. Free speech it appears is under review.
I was intrigued as to why Katie Hopkins had been blocked by Twitter.
Apparently it was her using the term "hung like a baboon", in a comment. Not sure if you know this, but Blackadder made that famous.
Hung like a donkey, wouldnt have got her banned. But baboon did?
Now right after Farage and LBC break company, after his comment "behaving like the Taliban" caused BLM outrage. With them demanding a person of "COLOUR" replaces him?
If you don't think something is afoot here, then you really do need to get out more my friend.
Oh there’s plenty more...and they didn’t come from the BBC.
It’s one thing spouting stuff, Gunter...an altogether different thing to substantiate it, which you haven’t.
As for Katie Hopkins...despicable and talentless creature who’s whole being seems to be built around negativity, hatred and self publicity, imo.
Be afraid, very afraid. Seeing as most of them are US cults. I thought this one closer to home, should have you worried.
The Guardian will no doubt keep people alert to its activities.
The British Empire Party was a Center-Right, Libertarian party within the United Kingdom . Originally called The Conservative Revolution, the party had roughly 24 members for quite a while, but when the party dropped to 21 party members others decided it was time for change.
Completely evaded the point RA.
Are you condoning the banning of KH for her own opinions, when she has said nothing illegal? Sounds very anti democratic and western to me does that.
No one has to listen to her, but for someone to decide whether you can/can't is getting very 1984 to me.
