Traore wins the ball on the half way line but is hacked down.

Nine points and three clean sheets against teams in the relegation zone. Sounds good, but in the past these games have been a stumbling block. Sitting fifth, yes we have played more games than Man U and Chelsea, but I would rather have points on the board at this stage of the season.

We’re so much better against the weaker sides this season, Villa had their fair share of possession but no threat... that was comfortable.

I didn't watch it. My son's verdict was " crap entertainment, sideways, sideways, backwards, sideways, poor pass forward, concede possession, recover and start the whole thing over again. Good job we were only playing the Villa cos they were abysmal!"

    Still three points though!

A BIT harsh, but I have to say that, by our standards was a poor performance. Mistakes by Coady and Boly that against decent opposition would have cost us. Not sure where Neves' mind was but it didn't seem to be on this game and as for Jota's miss - he'll be having nightmares for weeks!

Hard to raise your game against weak opposition, the heat and no crowd makes all of that worse. You have a superb side of technically capable players who are very well drilled, which is why you didn't have to move through the gears. Good luck with the remaining games.

The expected usual well measured response WCV.

You think this might finally be the season Grealish goes?
