    Carlisle climate

I find temperatures interesting i look at maps daily. Although Carlisle and Anglia are not that far apart, the difference in temperature is.

Ely can be between one to three degrees warmer than Carlisle daily with far more sunshine, and Carlisle is significantly wetter. If i lived up there id be moving south to be honest. I am sure you must all be lacking vitamin D.

You are being lashed with rain today, its sunshiney here with a bit of cloud. It is the Atlantic of course, god help you in winter.

    Rather you than me.

You’re right to a degree* Frank, though there’s more to It than that. It’s cooler and wetter here, but the Winters are generally milder than they once were, off the mountains at least. I reckon we’re getting only four or five nights of frost every year.

    * see what I did there?

The southbound lanes of the M6 / M1 are constantly full of vehicles with Cumberland and Westmorland folk heading for the superior quality of life in Cambridgeshire.

If you punch in Carlisle on wiki you will get a statistical breakdown of Carlisles weather. Then look at Ely. If my memory serves Carlisle has an average temp of 59 to sixty degrees fahrenheit in summer, Ely is 72 degrees. A big difference, a huge difference. The west is far wetter, the Atlantic rain peters out somewhere over the midlands.

Anglia is very dry, so when you move Neil, move to the far east, living in Brum or Weston super Mare wont do it. Anywhere in Anglia is nice, possibly a bit too pricey though.

Tell them to keep going past junction 26 of the M1 as we don't want any foreigners on our patch
