    Millwall v Swans

A Brewster free kick rescued a point for a lethargic and disjointed Swans as the giant players of Millwall took control.
We couldn’t find a way through their defence, and after we conceded a weak goal we never looked like scoring.
Only one win in the last 6 games as we continue to under perform with this inexperienced manager in charge.

Another below par performance when we needed a big response after Saturdays shameful submission to lowly Luton.
With Wilmot going off with a knee injury we have a big problem at centre-back.
Guehi and Cabango the only fit central defenders, Guehi having been dropped earlier in the season after some poor performances.
Rodon has a fresh ankle injury sustained in training and is out for the rest of the season. Van der Hoorn is still not ready to return.
Wilmot’s knee injury to be checked out today to see how bad it is, but it didn’t look too good last night when he limped off.

It’s actually 2 wins in 12 matches, how we are still up there is astonishing. We badly needed width to get around their giant defenders, but Dyer and Routledge sat the game out. In normal circumstances a point at Millwall would be a good, but every match we are playing now should be like a cup final with such high stakes on offer. Where was the fight, we conceded a poor goal, got caught when Grimes was dispossessed and Byers not bothering to chase and challenge the scorer.
Some players have gone backwards under this manager.

I just hope we do not end the season with a whimper and take it to the wire.
I think the fans know deep down we are not quite good enough, yet there are many mediocre sides in this division, so why not.
At the start of the season we were top of the table 5W 1D 0L with Rodon and Hoorn in defence, if only we could have had those two for the run in. We also had Surridge and Baston up top with Peterson on the wing.
