    Huddelstone gone

Unable to agree terms with the club so his contract has expired.

It seems the talks were vary amicable and there are no issues between player and club. Tom is now a free agent and may speak to any club he likes.

It also seems that he is being allowed to train with the club despite no longer being a registered Ram.

    Long term, I agree.

In the here and now I’d have liked to see him stay on a ‘pay as you play’ basis till the end of this season. Think he owed us that having spent half of this season unavailable.

Don't think he will be looking for another club. I would imagine he's already got one I've heard Sheff Wed want him . I've always been happier with him in the team than not in . Gets a bit boring fans saying he's to slow he was slow at 17. But great skill, vision and passing But with Rooney now doing all those things Huddleston was only going to get a take it or leave it offer

Is it true Mel has imposed an unofficial wage cap before the EFL force one, I read somewhere a week or so back?

If true then Derby we're sticking to their guns with a reduced offer and not letting the players dictate, the sooner this happens across the board the better IMO, that's how I see his departure, he was being greedy and we didn't buckle

    I agree with rA.
Either way he was a classy player to watch and leaves with best wishes for the future.

My understanding is that money wasn't the issue. He was offered a wage cut and was OK with it. He wanted a 2 year deal with the a player/coach role. Derby only wanted to offer him 1 year with a one sided option (for Derby) of a 2nd year.
