Lot of redundancies will happen in the next 4 to 8 weeks. The furlough will help pay notice period obligations. Lot of people will be due 12 weeks notice.

I guess there's no take up because of the location. Shame.

How can you be surprised no one wants it?
do you know if they are unemployed?

Personally I know quite a few family/friends are still furloughed but none are out of work

A fellow miller on here contacted me and I have interviewed and given the job to his sister today. She even negotiated a couple of grand extra for petrol😊
Both her and her husband lost there jobs due to COVID so really happy to have supported a fellow miller.
Good to share some good news on here for a change.
