    If Wigan finish the season out of the bottom 3, they will have 12 points deducted. If they are in the bottom 3 they will have 12 points deducted next season.

    i think the question asked earlier is what happens to the points for the fixtures they don't fulfil.
    Will they play the remaining games of the season or will all their games be null and void?
