I'll confess and say I was really worried about this game.
some serious pressure on the lads. we knew that Stoke was going to play for a nil-nil draw. In the past a classic case of us choking.
Never saw any of that other than White being a little edgy the first 5 minutes. They were solid and played team ball.
Fckin lovin it buddy
Never thought we'd win like that, even thought we might draw, superb result.
Its about time it all came together in one game, could easily have had double figures last night and Stoke wouldnt have complained,
Bamford has his critics but seriously and i have said it all season his workrate and movement is second to none, Just wish his finishing was the same, but you get what you pay for, he fits in to the Beilsa way,
Top drawer performance Stoke did not play bad but we were unplayable to them,
Love watching this team and we are going up..
Still positives from me.
Just been reading that last nights 4th combined team goal came after 30 consecutive passes over the course of 80 seconds before Pablo curled it first time into the net. Most was passing it around in our half but the sudden transition from steadily playing it around the back four to a pacey 3 against 3 attack was just pure Bielsa beautiful football grafted on the daily training pitch - a magnificent 90+ minute effort from the squad who patiently waited to break down Stokes over defensive set up.
I noted Angus Kinear said in the Leeds Utd official programme notes: "Even behind closed doors the scale of our support is not in doubt - for both previous non Sky games we had over 40,000 commit to a LUFC Tv live stream - 10 times the level of any other Championship club".
Really enjoy watching this season's team, developing style of play, tactics and the continuing development of all players whatever their ability level.
MOT
Can't say I'm enjoying this. Even at 3-0 up I think of Cardiff, the Sheff U v Villa from last season. But I'm a glass half empty sortofaguy. I'm glad it was 5 o'clock kick off, the tension was getting to me.
The early kick off was great for those stateside. Noon for me. was able to watch while on lunch break. It was a long lunch.
It was the best game a have seen us play for ages but I don't forget how things can change as one game counts for nothing unless you replicate it.
Ohh Mr. Kinear didn't mention the other 100 k watching the games illegally(ones that can't afford it and are down the pits like me) as the money they got was enough to soften the coffers.
Also, your daughter is beautiful (must have gotten her looks from her father) and glad to hear she is well into recovery.
