Beat me to it,the most points the bottom 3 teams can get in their last games are 15,they need 16 to just get level with us not counting goal difference.

All those who have doubts about the takeover, how do you feel about playing in the PL if( and you all know I think they wont) the PL refuse the takeover ?

It's a fair question, Geordie, and one I've raised myself on here too. The simple answer is I honestly don't know.

Part of me thinks I won't be able to watch-I think something in me would break....but unless/until it happens, I just don't know for sure.

    Great news now it's mathematical.

Sh!te that we didn't win it.

Roll on the take over and the mass binning can begin, starting with Bruise!

There was times this season when I thought we would struggle to get to safety...I couldn’t see where the goals would come from.luckily we have a team that has chipped in all over the pitch to help out our lacklustre strike force.

yeah man I was sure we'd be in the mire.

However it seems to boil down to 3 factors.

1 - there being 4-5 teams worse than us
2 - we have fluked wins were we weren't even in the games player
3 - the PL this season is probably the most garbage version of the competition since it's inception.

The Everton draw is a key example.

A team with major investment, World Class manager and yet Florian Lejeune managed to stuff 2 goals in and we got a point.

Not exactly a strategy that will keep us in the league next season!

You won't find me celebrating staying in the League. Achieving Ashley's aim of Premier League survival is nothing to be proud of. A club like this should be safe from the drop with months left every season.

I won't watch another game with Ashley as owner and Bruce as manager
    Just more of the same
As a club we deserve much more
So if they are here fu ck em!
Roll on a new season with real owners
