Huns will beef us its obvious. Plus at least 5 other non old firm clubs have made 4 or5 signings while we cant make one. Utterly pathetic.
Sarcasm & subtlety don’t go hand in hand with you :-)

We do seem to be very secretive as regards team selection though with little coverage.

Our contract situation meant that we did not have a major amount of players contracts were expiring this summer, so movements out were always likely to be from sales (McKenna, Cosgrove, Ferguson etc) in order to open up space for new signings.

We took in Hayes, probably to cover the loss of Leigh, that said I was always hopeful that Leigh was just gamesmanship to get a better deal
Gallagher leaving just helps to open up a spot for a youngster coming in.
Rogers didn't need replacing as he was out on loan from the club all last year as well.

We may see more of Wright (having returned from injury) and Ross featuring more this year to bolster the squad.

If anything, our weakest area in terms of strength in depth is defence. With Devlin out for another month, we hare pretty short with only McKenna, Taylor and Considine as natural centre halfs. Fullbacks will be covered with Logan / Hernandez and Considine / Hayes.
Still wouldn't be surprised to see Hoban revealed as cover on a pay as you play deal.

McInnes wants to keep his new tombola formation under wraps.
Expect a 5-4-1 formation

    .....................................Lewis
    Logan / Hernandez.....Taylor....McKenna....Considine....Hayes
    ......McGinn / McLennan..Ferguson.......Ojo........Kennedy

    ...................................Cosgrove

Note the 4 in midfield filling in the gaps in front of the defenders.

Also note the gap to Cosgrove is relative
Pay as you play doesn’t exist.
No professional would sign up to that.

Tell him to get to f’uck then.

Completely fed up with Pittodrie being a haven for the permanently injured.

Coverage should be fine, better than anyone out with rangers and Celtic. We all want Anderson, Campbell, Ross and Wright (maybe) to be getting more game time. That won't happen if we sign other journeymen.

I'm more worried about the match fitness. We turn like oil tankers at the start of every season with a proper pre season.

Obviously not literally, but a contract can be written up with an extremely low basic with much higher appearance fees / win bonuses that in effect means the value is in pay as you play.

It's going to be another grim, miserable season.
