These lists are nonsense of course, but I can think of some real **** holes of towns that one wouldn't want to live in!

I used to go there frequently in the 70s and always found the place very friendly. It must have changed beyond recognition.

Those voting have obviously never been to Swindon, the place that is shut from 18:00 each evening. That quote is from an old friend who lived there.............

It has vastly changed then. My car broke down there, early 70s, I went into a pub asking where the nearest hotel was. Had a pint or 2, chatting to the locals, was put up by a family, given a full English the next morning, car repaired in about 45 minutes/ Kept in touch with the family until the 90s. Grand folk as were the friends of theirs I met.
