    Deid - ex-Eire manager

Jack Charlton (apparently he was in some cup winning side but we never hear about it).

    Gent.
And I thoroughly enjoyed watching his Irish team back in the day.

Load of snobby b0llocks spoken about the style of fitba they played.

    RIP fella

That's a pretty sweeping statement, which deviates somewhat from your previous, iconoclast, utterances.

Proper Mannies’ Fitba player. Even the 1970s Buckpool Boot Boys and Staigo members were feart of him.

Only Cohen, Stiles (I thought he’d gone), Bobby Charlton, Hunt and Hurst left of the 66 XI.

If you want to know how he galvanised Eire in 1990, Roddy Doyle’s ‘The Van’ is worth reading (and the film’s good too).

    Wonderful book.

We get a mention as well....."he let in 9 against Aberdeen......" when discussing Bonner's prospect in the upcoming penalty shoot out against Romania.

Ah well, that’s Nobby away now too. I think he’s been a dementia sufferer for a long time. To quote Phoenix ‘better oot o it’.
