    Sad news Jackie Charlton

    R.I.P Jackie. Another of our World Cup winners has passed away. As a 12 year old i wrote to all the world cup winners,but only had 2 reply's one of Gordan Banks and one from Jackie.

    I posted over on the Leeds forum......Huge loss here in Ireland.....It's knocked COVID-19 of the front stand......The Irish nation, it is fair to say is in mourning on hearing this news..Such beautiful memories and wonderful emotions brought out by this Real Giant of an Englishman.....Absolutely loved this man and his style.....

    Remember playing football for the local village side aged just 16, looking up and seeing Big Jack and a farmer watching us, (they had been out shooting), within 10 mins of watching he was shouting out instructions, what a guy, sorely missed. R.I.P Jack

    Always seemed a feet on the ground bloke. Ordinary. Like footballers used to be.

    Remember watching a program on him and leeds players playing dominoes in the snug of a old boozer could you see modern players doing that
