Thread: Face Masks to be made compulsory.

  1. #21
    More twaddle and piffle.

IF wearing face masks is so bloody important why have we waited 5 whole months for them to become mandatory?

    I seem to remember:

Wearing a face covering is optional in most circumstances and is generally not required in workplaces.

They are not an effective way to manage the risks from coronavirus and you should not rely on them.

The evidence suggests that wearing a face covering does not protect you, but it may protect others if you are infected and have not developed symptoms.

Face coverings are not classed as PPE and are therefore next to phucking useless!

June 23rd the Government says they offer no protection, July 12th, Michael Gove, Minister for the Cabinet Office, and virtually Boris's right-hand man, says wearing them will not become mandatory, July 14th Boris says you'll have to wear them in shops. Useless to compulsory in three weeks, that is weird even for the weird times we live in.

What force has driven this almost overnight U turn, a force that can persuade a government to muzzle the population ? I don't know, but it must be a fecking, great, powerful one. And if it has such power, there's no way it's going to stop at muzzles. What's next ?
