Big statement that., we are still in the mix.

Controlled the game and what a ball from Neves followed by a wonderful first touch and shot from Jota.

A much improved Wolves, who played with a welcome zest not witnessed since before the Covid-9 break. Raul worked hard as usual and was finally rewarded when scoring a penalty which sent Pickford the wrong way (our magic-Mex makes it look Oh! so easy doesn't he?). When Dendoncker added a second immediately after the break I was delighted for us and for him (there was a time when I was indecided about "The Donk', but no longer. He has now become a valuable asset to Wolves and like Raul, usually works his socks off. Podence was a revelation !!!
His speed of movement and mental agility bodes well for the future success of an attack force already brimming with talent. As others have noted, Neves, was superb throughout the match. His inch perfect pass to Jota which set up the third goal was sublime. In a general sense it was a good performance by all concerned. After making one or two useful crosss, even, Traore, might be forgiven for the 'sitter' that went begging) Do hope we can maintain our renewed vigour for the remaining games. It won't secure a C.L. berth, but should confirm our right to contest the Europa Cup next season. G.Y.M.W. !!!
