No, you're open to the management team picking the exact team you want with the exact tactics you want, and anything other than that will mean they don't have a clue and you know better then them. That's what you mean isn't it?

Think that's a bit harsh on Wood, we got more points last time in the championship when he was playing than when he wasn't. Also when he got back into the team around Christmas this season, we looked a lot more solid and went on a great run. Not saying he should start every game in the Championship mind you but there will be a time and place for him to be used.

A football club should be run like the real world. Your just a number, once you are of no use to your employer time to go. Wood I can't knock him what's he's done for our club but the championship now is beyond him. Same with Price Jones McDonald. Clarke & Vassell also.

gru, 4-5-1 didn't work last time so cannot see how it will work this time around.

I think probably wants to play 4-4-2 whenever possible but if he needs to compromise with an extra man in midfield I think He'll be more likely to go 3-5-2 before he goes 4-5-1.

We did play 451 away from home except at Bolton on Boxing Day which was a disaster and we got pulled all over the place

But we played a much more adventurous attacking game for many, but not all, of the 23 home matches

PW plays a style and formation to fit each individual match and I don't think it will be any different this coming season.
What he,ll try and do away from home is still play 451 but in certain passages of play we go more attacking and try and get a goal. Last time we tried to do this but weren't very successful.
Then we need to hold onto the lead like Neil W did for us. It's a simple game
If we go 452 for say 80 mins away from home we,ll get hammered
Home games, same as last time and we,ll lose some but overall we,ll be fine

3/4 away wins will go a long way to enabling us to stay up

Though that is a fact it doesn't tell the full story. The other CB in that season was onariase, ajayi and robertson. Ike was shipped out on loan. In the games where wood partnered Robertson. Ajayi was sat Infront.

The last time we were in the championship wood was the best CB we had, even better than ajayi that season.
This time Ike, Robertson and Thompson look like they could be a better option at CB. Though he reads the game well, Thompson is a bit on the short side for a CB. Tilt could be owt..

If wood is our best CB this season we will go down.a
