    Have we improved?

Interesting stats in the link below.
    I'm assuming they're accurate.

They are presented in a very positive way (he suggests replacing Mulgrew with Tosin is up for discussion ffs)
They don't show any real improvement, in fact the important last few slides show a slight decline in key areas.

We approach another transfer window in EXACTLY the same position as all TM's other windows.
    Need goalkeepers
    Need central defender
    Need wide player
    Need a striker

Whichever way you look at it our only consistency is no change anywhere, we are static.
If we lose a couple of key players we will be facing a relegation battle next season and we are ill equipped to do that successfully.

We are getting better but its marginal.
To be honest the spine of the team needs improvement but also contains players that we need to keep.
Lenihan is a top defender and before lockdown benefited from a top defender in tosin adarabioyo.
We cannot lose lenihan and certainly shouldn't go back to mulgrew.
Travis is a good midfielder and benefited from Evans good form before his injury
We cannot lose travis and certainly shouldn't go back to smallwood.
Armstrong is a good forward who needs a partner to help him out we need to keep him, especially as we are uncertain on how dack will perform when he returns.
Keeping the key players are just as crucial as the recruitment in the summer.

In a week we lose our goalkeeper and our centre half. So no, we will be weaker. Until they are replaced, with as good a players, then we will remain weaker.
People are ignoring the huge impact that Venkys are not able to to put any money in. So we already know we cant strengthen.
We clearly now need to rely on young players. Its obvious.

Instead of playing Cater, Brereton, Nyambe, Davenport, Vale. He will opt for Downing, Bennett, Mulgrew, Johnson, Samuel and Graham. So from that aspect, next season will be lower half, probably relegation battle. As we will lose 2 or 3 of our best players, like Travis Armstrong and Lenihan. And they will be replaced by more old crap that are well past their best, have absolutely no interest in wanting to go up to a higher level. We use a system that clearly doesnt suit the players, as that's why we are painfully inconsistent. But none of that will change. We are weaker, we are heading nowhere

I'd agree with almost all of that.
The article on the Telegraph site suggests we will be saying goodbye to most of the out-of-contract players.
Money probably won't allow it, but I'd like the club to find a role for Graham. I suspect we're going to be over-dependent on the Academy graduates, and someone with DG's experience would be an excellent mentor.
