    Watford Sack Pearson

Apparently watford have sacked pearson with 2 games to go. This seems to be a pattern with him. Seems and strange and risky time whilst they are still in the relegation melting pot.

    Couldn’t happen to a nicer person...🙄

Bournemouth look doomed now, although I could see them beating Everton in their last game. Villa have a slim chance but I think sacking Pearson will have no consequence on the relegation places.

May be a disciplinary thing? Can't imagine with 2 games to go they'd make that choice willingly?

Strange time to sack him but it is Watford who have history, I still think they will be ok and will get a point against Man city or Arsenal and Vile lose to Arsenal on tuesday its all over

Madness - they'll get someone in and they'll probably stay up but it'll have little to do with the new manager.

It’s very close between Villa & Watford now and not beyond impossible that Watford still lose their last two games and Villa get one more win - both end up on 34 points. Current goal difference is Villa -27, Watford -23, Villa have scored more goals. Imagine if Villa stay up on either goal difference or even goals scored, then imagine the fall out from Watford about the Sheffield United VAR goal fiasco in the first game back after the restart. Watford would surely be obliged to make an issue to the premier league about this and it brings back memories of the West Ham, Tevez, Sheffield United saga a few years ago. Given the way they handled that, the farcical way they are handling our own directors test, my money would be on them making a complete hash out of the potential Watford-Villa situation if it arises.

I'm of the opinion that in these situations the rules ought to be amended and a simple one off play off at a neutral ground between the two teams would suffice.

    Agreed.

Plus from a financial point of view it would be beneficial to the prem.

Was thinking exactly the same thing if villa stay up on GD whoever go's down should sue the PM big time, villa should be on 30 pts at the moment But the PM would take 6 months to decide what to do about it as usual.

Yes, theoretically that would be the most vauable game of all of the seasons fixtures to be won. To retain a Prem position is worth a crock of gold.
