I read the other day souttar has had a relapse of his Achilles injury, that’s a lot of serious injuries already, becoming the story of his career unfortunately

That's tough on him, he's a brilliant lad too. Looked up brother Harry there, he played 34 times for Fleetwood last season on loan from Stoke City. So he's doing ok. Two caps (& 2 goals) for the full Australian national side as well. Mrs Souttar's Australian.

No surprise there, what a talent he was. His sale was symptomatic of everything wrong with the Club at the time. Should never have been sold ahead of Armstrong and was compounded by the sale of Armstrong just a few months later. When they looked around for Stretch’s replacement, I wonder if that’s when it dawned on the hierarchy of the time that ‘Oh phuck, we’ve selt him already six months ago.’. Armstrong money should have been allowing us to keep Gauld for another 18 months at least but of course this unorderly, scattergun transfer policy is what done us ultimately. Thanks STEPHEN, thanks very much you prize dick. But continue to have a great career Gauldie, you deserve it pal.

I watched Armstrong in every game in the close down of the EPL season and he is looking terrific. Continues to improve and needs to be in Stevie Clarkes starting lineup now. Along with McTominay we are seeing the emergence of a decent Scotland midfield.

Also CCFFS starting to reach match fitness for St J. Not the player he was (no one can reverse the march of time) but still a very decent signing for them.

Tbf the money we got for him, the club who were interested and the players own wishes to play abroad, I think we'd struggle to hold onto anyone in those circumstances.

It's scratching at old wounds which is never a good thing but the fees that were leaked into the press to keep the fans "happy" were probably a lot less than was publicised.

Bad things happened but we have to move on.

Johnny Russell on Radio Scotland tonight his side are top of their division in the USA,left out of the Scotland squad because of the FN virus but if he had been included he would have missed 6 or 7 games as they try to catch up from the earlier lockdown.
He is in brilliant form apparently.
