    Philip Hammond working for Saudi’s

Could be 2 + 2 = 5 but might be significant. I’m not really informed enough to comment whether this is a good thing, bad thing or totally irrelevant for us.

    Totally irrelevant is my guess.

It all comes down to whether the PL's contract with Bein Sports will prevent them from allowing the Saudis to own us. Despite all the noise surrounding it-almost entirely negative towards the deal being passed-it will come down to a purely legal argument.

I would disagree Zip. The fact he has had meetings in the past over the piracy issues with the Saudis, now he is working with them can only be seen as a plus. How much clout he carries though I don't know. Can't stand the man though.

Generally disliked by current Conservative MP's. Most of his mates either left, retired or were booted out !

He has sod all clout these days - hence why he can be doing this.

He's prepping for leaving Parliament would be my guess.

Been gone since December jammy. Had the whip taken (booted out) then stood as an independent and got nowhere.

Always thought he was a bit of a weasel. Perfect person to pass around a few brown envelopes to push the deal through. Qatar have passed plenty on. Could be the Saudis turn. Just an opinion of course
