Must confess to being quite agitated about lack of transfer progress. Usually not but this season is different. Short off season, top clubs like Arsenal have financial troubles, Chelsea with a raft of injured players, Man city still playing but looking tired, this is a real chance for Leeds to do well in Premiership. 5 weeks to go to start of season.

I'm trying to locate Gary Sprake's keeper jersey from then1970 European Cup semi-final against Celtic.Sprake wore the grey jersey with blue collar of Italy's Enrico Albertosi which he had swapped a few month previously rather than his green one he'd worn in the FA Cup final against Chelsea just days earlier apparently he did it to change his luck not for kit colour clash.
He actually got carried off injured at the start of the second half in it would you believe.

Have you got it in your keeper jersey collection as it's wanted and worth £1000 !

Sorry for thread interruption - kind of 'squad' related theme.

Hopefully just a case of making sure we bring in the right players, whom will enhance the squad. I guess it will be a tough sell to get players through the door, trying to convince them we have more to offer than a relegation battle.

    No panic buys please!

remember we aint buying 10-15 players here, we are trying to secure white, i believe costa meslier and harrison are with us again for this season, and possibly beyond it, once white is bought, probably only a striker, maybe a midfielder, maybe a defender required and thats it, we'll have 18 senior players with about another 18 youthies we can call upon as backups, we'll be fine :-)

Been watching the shenanigans over recent days, and as per normal at Leeds we seem to be seeking "cheap as chips" where Rolls Royce is required. Be happy to see the young lad from Wigan signed, and Benrahma and Watkins from the Bees, but White is a standout, and as other have said, a statement of intent (and a sound investment to boot).

We have just over a month to acquire/retain sufficient quality players to make sure we survive (not prosper, yet), in the PL. The current squad is woefully inadequate in just about every area, we have inadequate depth in defence, we have inadequate cover in midfield, and we scure as hell have f00k all threat at PL level in our attack, but the youngsters may be our salvation, but not on day one. So, will our saviour (Radrizzani I mean), dip into the (approximately) £200m that has swelled LUFC coffers to ensure that survival, and do business NOW so new players can be indoctrinated into the "Bielsa way" in time?

I suspect that despite all the hoo hah about what Beilsa does and doesn't want, what he gets is down to Orta, the specialist in "cheap as chips" and lastminute.com deals (Ekuban, Casilla and JKA as prime examples). That being the case, expect nothing in the immediate future (with the possible exception of the lad from Wigan), and close to end of transfer window a flurry of activity bringing to ER someone no-one has ever heard of.

Go on Victor, prove me wrong, for ONCE!

Well, Orta brought in someone we had never heard of. His name was Ben White. Decent player. And before that he got a manager for Leeds, fellow called Bielsa. Quite successful so far.

"One swallow doth not a summer make"
. As for bringing in Bielsa, says who, Orta?

Even if he had a hand to play in Bielsa joining Leeds, examine his other stellar decisions (Sloth, Cibicki, Anita, Ehkuban, Buoy, Ineguchi, Grot, Casilla, etc, most recently and most disastrously, Augustin and (if his DoF cap fits) the ridiculous link up with Cultural Leaonard and Ivor the engine Bravo. MILLIONS wasted on the altar of his supposed brilliance in scouting

If the rumoured interest from Roma to get this disaster waiting to happen as ther DoF bears fruit I'll drive him to the airport, mask or no mask

And by the way, it doesn't matter how f00king stellar the coach is, if the gun he fires has a bunch of blanks in it, we will get stuffed

wtf, take a look at the sheffield united squad, virtually all championship level players, theyve not just survived theyve challenged the rich bunch, with what i would class as a championship level squad, their squad imo is no better than ours that has just won the championship, i wouldnt want any of the blunts players in our squad, not coz theyre the blunts, but just coz their squad is a championship squad, but its done more than enough this season where other more established "premier league" squads have done worse, panic not WTF, we'll be alright, secure white, get in 1 or 2 others, i'll be happy with that!
