    Your country ?

"A new, ignorant and unforgiving intolerance is sweeping the land making people afraid to say what they think for fear of social shaming and condemnation – or worse, loss of employment. Children are being subjected to increasing levels of indoctrination in school, from subversive ‘gender theory’ to so-called ‘anti-racism’. It is frightening. Instead of confronting this dangerous, virtue-signalling bandwagon, the government appears to be boarding it. Yet its direction of travel is one way – towards an intolerant and authoritarian society."

I'd go along with the above, there is an unforgiving intolerance sweeping the land, but I'm sure not everyone will see it that way, What do you think, is this the land you live in ?

I love this country, its history and independence. That is one reason I wanted it out of the EU. We all know the dangers of the far right but there is also a manifest intolerance emanating from the far left. We can see this in the workings of the BLM movement and in a rising anti-semitism. Just look at the recent posts from rapper Wiley. So appalling they had to be taken down.

We are being run by a cabal of charlatans who are making it up as they go along.

"Air corridors" open then shut, with no warning or concern for the thousands affected.

Mixed messages, stay home, get to work, furlough over.

Control and coercion is the new agenda and the cabal of cretins are seeing just how far can they push their authoritarian agenda.

Starmer is the new Blair, socialism is dead, Christianity is dead and with no opposition and a huge Tory majority provided by mindless idiots democracy is dead.

I'd commit suicide, but I think it might be rather painful.

You seem to forget BT that the Tories won the election because the Labour and Liberal parties insisted that anyone voting for Brexit was a mindless idiot. They still do as far as I can see. I agree about Starmer. A gesture politician. The electorate can always get rid of the Tories, same way as they put them in. That’s democracy for you.

    Let me guess...The Conservative Woman?

There are a group of frightened people who are convinced that They are out to get Them.

I am not sure who they think They are? Apparently, it is a world wide thing. Is it Governments of the world driving the agenda?
Is there an unseen World Government? Is it a secret group of gay, black disabled people?
Consiracy theories like this have been around all my life. But it used to be limited to strange men sat alone in the corner of the pub, or a disgruntled bloke sending letters in to the papers. Nowadays these people can mobilise on the internet and spread the world much wider.

Me? I'll just get along with life. I'll read what they have to say, shake my head and give a wry grin.

If you believe that They are out to get You, then you will become constantly upset and cynical about politicians, experts and anyone else who speaks with authority, and your life will be devalued.

Chill out, and start to embrace life is my suggestion.

Why do you mention a 'they' 59, no mention of a 'they' in that piece. Why do you talk about a conspiracy, no mention of a conspiracy in that piece. Do you know something I don't, or are you just paranoid ?

59_60 -----you advise that we should chill out etc., however, I think that you should take your own advice because anyone who has any political connection is unable to totally chill out because they are always concerned about something whether it be Brexit or the next leader of the Lib Dems. Personally, I am always chilled out because I never worry about a thing and embrace life to the full and don't let anything bog me down ---not even VAR!
