Live football again, with spectators. First pre-season friendly, Hurst Green v Clitheroe, 3pm Saturday August 1st, everyone welcome to attend.
I'll be there, real football, with real fans, just like the old days, I love non-league.

Enjoy it Sinkov, I hope and wish non-league Clubs all the best as they fight against the tide of the small mentality attitude of the folk that run our game.
sinkov---- have you had that confirmed in writing from those ruining the country? I hope that it happens, even if only to please you, however, important question -------Is the bar going to be open?
Is Hurst Green big enough to sustain a football team sinkov? A Shireburn Arms eleven perhaps? Who's up next, Chipping?
"As a step 7 club, spectators will be allowed to attend our game vs @ClitheroeFC. All COVID guidelines and rules will be in place and we ask everyone in attendance to adhere to them. Our COVID guidelines will be posted soon and will be visible on arrival at San Smithy."
They play in the West Lancs League, I don't think they have a bar or even a club house, but the Bayley Arms is just 50 yards up the road. Their ground is basically just a field with a fence round the pitch, and the views across to Pendle are spectacular.
No, not playing Chipping BT, but they are playing Longridge. Some bigger games coming up, Bamber Bridge, FC United and Curzon Ashton amongst them.
Me and wife number four used to love going to the pub/restaurant on the left hand bend going into Hurst Green. It's closed and dilapidated now and I'm damned if I can remember the name. Help me out please sinkov?
Because you are relatively new on here and have missed tons of banter mixed with personal stuff, I can inform you after a ten year hiatus from marriage I met the "Child Bride".
She is wife number five, a happily converted season ticket holding Claret and we have been married now for eight years which is a record for me.
Moral of the story, never give up, whatever you want is out there somewhere, just persevere and you will eventually find it.

Eagle and Child and the Punchbowl both gone BT.
But the excellent Shireburn is still up and running.
True story, I once had a meal in there with ex members of MI6 and the SAS.
