    Happy 54th anniversary

Tomorrow we celebrate the 54th anniversary of when 8 English footballers carried 3 others to win our one and only World Cup.
Hope we don’t have to wait another 54 years!

    Ah, got it now...

    Banks born Sheffield
    Cohen born London
    Charlton born Ashington
    Moore born Barking
    Wilson born Derbyshire
    Stiles born Manchester
    Ball born Lancashire
    Charlton born Ashington
    Peters born Plaistow
    Hurst born Ashton-under-Lyne
    Hunt born Lancashire

Seven born and raised in the North, one from the Midlands, two Es*** boys and one Londoner. I suppose they had to pick three southerners to stop the Londoners whinging.

Oh, and we only win the World Cup under a Labour government.
