    The thing is, most of us loved him because of what he did here but that thread of admiration is consistent everywhere he’d played or managed. Some of the big names on there who pour out their respect for him is incredible. I can’t imagine anyone of later generations gaining anywhere near the level of respect that he earned.

    That's a very good point. Few are held in such regard now-the Charltons, Bobby Moore and his ilk?

    Ferguson, for example, is hugely admired and respected but is only loved by Man U fans.

    A great man, I am 46 and not ashamed to say that every video I see with him in it, I have a tear in my eye.
