Thread: Fermers at hame - official match thread

1-1, good to start the season with a point and we played no too bad

Held our own but screaming for creativity, width on both wings and another CB IMO

Unsurprisingly with the same players it was the same as the end of last season. Struggled to get Shankland in the game due to lack of quality in final 3rd and completely losing belief/confidence when we concede.

Some boys looks like they can play at this level which is good but same culprits need replaced asap

That's definitely 2 points dropped. Connolly's first blunder of the season. Cant say I am surprised.

I thought Bolton looked quite good when he came on, put a few good crosses in.

Good in the first, not great in the second.

Bolton possibly our best in the 2nd half.

Point is okay but against 10 fermers should have been a win. Definite step up in opposing side fae the Championship.

    Overall, ok start.

Was it us or them that went down to 10? No way of telling.

Disappointing stuff and 2 points dropped. In saying that we looked the better side for more of the game and apart form a p*sh clearance we would've won.

Hopefully Shanks gets sharper as he'll be the difference between a relegation battle or midtable. In fact I reckon our whole season comes down to him. If he scored one of his half chances we win and get 2 more points. Probably be the case in every game.

Deja vu from last season, our centre-backs' distribution is horrendous. 1-0 up with no pressure on the ball and they still lumped aimless balls forward. KEEP THE FAWKING BALL!

Early days but we need to sort out the basics.

We were ok , no better than that , lack a creative spark around the box , Connolly , just put the ball out for a corner ffs , never mind point to start no a disaster but a lot of work ahead

Think the sending off was the worst thing that happened, and we lost focus, and stopped pressing as much, and ultimately paid the cost!
    Hopefully lesson learnt!

Don’t like the formation, never offers a 2 on 1 overlap out wide. 2 points dropped from what should have been a comfortable second half with the right mentality and application.
