Time the EFL re-visited allowing artificial playing surfaces. Hybrid grass/artificial is light years better than, for example, the surface at Loftus Road (did for Crewe in the League Cup first leg years ago, though the 3-0 home win in the second leg was a highlight)

Agreed, Furberstreet, and there are some of us remember Steve Walters downward header bouncing over everyone for 3 points at Deepdale on a similarly bouncy surface. The hybrid playing surfaces don’t impress everyone, and I don’t want to see one at Gresty Road, but are they really worse than the old Baseball Ground mudheap or the sandpit at Rodney Parade?

Yes, watching some of the recent Premier League games, I always noticed how nice the playing surface looked. A full season would have resulted in a number of pitches (or pitch areas) resembling a muddy track.
