    Transfer Business

Trying to move on from the heartbreak of the takeover debacle is hard but we have to accept it, for now at least, and plan ahead for the new season.

Assuming we still have Ashley and Bruce running the show (I know, I know) what sort of transfers do you think we need? For me a striker who can actually score goals is of paramount importance. We’ve been linked with Patrik Schick who looks a good player but might be out of our price range considering we spunked £40 mil away on Joelinton.

A left back is needed, Willems seems most logical. I want a right back too as all of ours are useless but i doubt we’ll strengthen there. A creative attacking midfielder would be nice as Miggy grafts but doesn’t really provide much in my opinion, would be open to selling Miggy personally if we were offered good money.

I’d also sell Darlow and bring Woodman back to challenge Dubravka. I reckon Barlaser will be kept to replace Matty Longstaff as the backup centre mid.

For me I would sell ASM, Dubravka and Almiron. Weaken the squad and get out of this corrupt league. I refuse to support NUFC in the PL. I want us relegated and I am being serious

Na I can’t agree with that, I understand the sentiment though. It would mean that you would not want promotion when we drop to the Championship so in effect you’d want a 3rd place finish and losing in the play-offs. It can’t be enjoyable that way and it certainly can’t be enjoyable selling all of our best players.

Making money for the darling top 6 and being denied the chance to improve goes against the aim of the game. Those who want to be a part of it, enjoy. Its not for me.

Aye, a striker is a definate.

Willems is a good shout but i'm concerned he has knackered his knee, 3rd time on the same knee - doesn't bode well.
