Just seen a bit of Ross Co v Motherwell. 9 on the bench , 4 came on each.
(btw Hastie for Motherwell was pretty anonymous)

Does this mean we need a bigger squad than we thought?

In Scotland the clubs agreed that for this season 5 subs can be used but each team can only stop the game 3 times to bring those 5 on. It will revert back to the usual 3 subs for the following season.

The same rule has been used in England for the remaining games that have been played but I don't think there has been a decision yet on if this will be carried over into the new season in England.

I don’t agree with the 5 subs rule even if it is only temporary.
It will put the more wealthy teams with bigger and better squads at an advantage.
I understand the reason for doing it yet still can’t agree with it.

Agree, Caspy - also don't like the current water-break rule.

It's being used as a coaching break, and down the line the Americans would love to keep it as a ad-break.

Well I've watched probably 100 games since the restart on US TV and not once have they gone to an ad break or used the opportunity to show any more onscreen ads during the water break so I guess the fact that it's 'driven by US TV' is just an urban myth.

No, exactly the same as 'normal' leagues, nothing like the craziness of the old USL back in the days when Pele/Best/Ronnie Moore were playing over here.

The Premier League has voted against carrying on with 5 subs for next season, so it's back to 3. Good decision.
