I think he's giving Pawlett his chance to establish himself as a new slimmed down player, Pawlett needs to take it or he'll be out, and Pawlett needs to give defensive cover for Robson if Motherwell play Seedorf on the right. They have that wide threat but also like to play in front of the CB's trying to get their forwards in behind, so the back 4 need to be alert for the full 90.

A good test, looking forward to seeing how we do.

I'd guess that wont be far off what the team is mate. I'd still like to see Appere in there but Clark and Pawlett were good in the first half last week so I cant see him changing things massively.

Yeah I feel a bit sorry for young Louis but his time will come. I get the sense that MM is saying to PP show me you can be part of this team going forward or I'll move you on.

I think he knows there's a player in there and he's hoping to find it and he's giving the lad a chance to perform. It's just a gut feeling looking at the way Pawlett has lost weight and by all accounts was looking sharp in pre- season .
