    Hun

    1. A member of a group of Central Asian nomadic pastoralist peoples who invaded Europe in the fourth and fifth centuries ad and were defeated in 455.
    2. often hun A barbarous or destructive person.
    3. Offensive Slang Used as a disparaging term for a German, especially a German soldier in World War I.I

I'd put him in number 1.

    Hun in British footballing terms.
'Cos Glasgow Rangers fans are proud of their British identity and with the Queen (descendent from the German House of Wettin) her Rangers supporting subjects are called 'huns' by the largely Catholic fans of Celtic - a club with strong Irish links - me thinks.

That was one of the possible reasons listed in the Irish Post a few years back, in the world of Football rivalries is it any worse a term than Scum that is often cited here

Times change. Look where Howson, Bradley Johnson, Chris Wood and Charlie Taylor are. Lower leagues and much smaller clubs. And McCormack!! Downhill all the way. Career wise, not financially off course.

Thing is none of them would fit into our team with Bielsa in charge - not good enough

Disappointed with roofe, thought he was better than that, obviously went to anderlecht for the money, as he has randers, could have been premier league with us instead of a mickey mouse league.
