It looks as if we are letting Morgan Gibbs-White join you on loan for the season. Your manager knows him from the youngsters World Cup. Has played several games for us in the Premiership and numerous sub appearances. A midfielder who likes to get forward.

Hi abboborum, a thank you to Wolves, Morgan sounds like just what we need and he will do well here if he steers clear of injury. Steve Cooper is good with the youngsters, and like you said he has worked with Morgan before and will give him plenty of game time. As you know it is hard to get out of this division and we fell just short last time. IMO we have to find more goals though if we want to get promoted this time around.

Jamal Lowe deal complete and he’s now a Swans player.
Together with the other signings mentioned above we are getting a good squad of players together.
I think we need another centre-back if we’re going to continue with a back three, and also a forward that can score plenty of goals.
Blackburn centre half/left back Derrick Williams has been mentioned, he’s in the last year of his contract, but they supposedly want a seven figure sum, which maybe puts him out of our reach unless we can sell some players that are no longer wanted.
As for the forward, I think we were hoping Guehi would return, but that seems unlikely with PL clubs chasing him. But if he wants game time and not sitting on the bench as a back-up player then Swansea’s the place.

Swans played Southampton at their place yesterday in two 60 min matches behind closed doors in a friendly that wasn’t even scheduled on the Swans official website. First match they were hammered By the Saints first team 7-0 in an embarrassing display, with a mixture of first team players and Academy players..
The second 60 min match was 0-1, Fulton the scorer with a much better display, albeit against the Saints squad players.
Whilst not condoning our pathetic first match performance, Saints websites made headline news of the matches, joined the matches together as one 120 min match and reported them as a 7-1 defeat. I was surprised that they made such a big thing of beating us In an unimportant pre-season kick about.

It was an absolute shambles of a performance. I know it was only a hastily arranged, behind closed doors, friendly and we shouldn’t read too much into it, but that was shocking, half-hearted defending, especially by the wing backs/full backs. It showed that some of the youngsters included are not ready for the first team by a long way. As for the first teamers, embarrassing wasn’t it.
