    Ardley's List

Some while ago he mentioned a list of players he had drawn up as possible signings, I wonder if he's added to or taken any off his list since he Drew it up.

It would be interesting to know exactly how the recruitment process works at the club these days. Does Ardley give a list to the owners, or do the owners (given their day job) give a list to Ardley, and then they arm wrestle over the potential signings?

Whatever the method is, last season was a massive improvement on what had gone before.

Possibly the biggest positive of last season. Whatever the method, the combo worked so I hope they carry on.

He said in one of his Pre Wembley interviews that he talks to the board about players and they tell him if their data matches up with his opinion and sometimes they tell him about players and he might disagree with them, "it's a two way street"

This is a key time for signings. Some decent players will be shredded by error in the Championship and Leagues One and Two. Because of the economic climate, many will fear unemployment so could be snapped up at a bargain rate. Even a year in the shop window of the National League is better than sitting around twiddling your thumbs.

Aren't League 2 switching to a squad of 20 odd players of which 8 have to be from your youth system. In that case, there will be a lot of free agents to choose from

Plus a squad wage cap of £1.5m per year as well. Should get interesting.
