    Baw's on the slates?

It seems that an Aberdeen first team player has tested positive for the virus. They are due to play St Johnstone on Saturday. What to do?

No doubt we'll go to court if they call the league and relegate us.

The league will no doubt try to brazen it out.

Certainly Aberdeen shouldn't be playing St Johnstone, and probably not Hamilton, and postponing only those games would seem the realistic best case scenario.

What would really kick it off (or rather, not!) would be someone saying the gap between Aberdeen's pre-Rangers tests and the game is big enough not to 100% rule out the player was infected before that match. It could then be argued that not only Aberdeen but Rangers shouldn't be playing in the next week or so...

That's highly unlikely but the SPFL must surely have known that this scenario was virtually certain at some point and I expect them to have a plan/protocol in place even if they have largely kept it quiet to avoid a preemptive bun fight.

Dunno if it's a shame or lucky we're not playing them soon!

Bound to happen sometime. Football teams meet up from different places, then they and their entourages criss - cross the country to play each other, whereafter everybody disperses among countless other people. The pandemic potential will be there every week for a while; if the football authorities haven't noticed that and sorted out a contingency plan I'll be surprised.
    Then again............

I find it a bit alarming that the authorities are allowing the team to continue to play.
Their game needs to be postponed immediately, and likely any games involving them for at least the next 14 days before re-evaluating the safety.

It was courting trouble and a bit reckless to hold a team night out in an Aberdeen bar a week or so ago. I don't suppose the Dons management will be too pleased with their charges.

St Johnstone v Aberdeen now postponed. Anyone care to predict how many games will be postponed this season?

Aberdeen's trip to St Johnstone now postponed, no word on their next matches.

Our game tomorrow is reportedly being moved to the 12.30pm Sky slot.

Proof, if it were needed, that this season will be a shambles. There is no chance of consistency or the mythical sporting integrity - we just need to accept this is football this year and hope we don't end up dealt a hand which leaves us relegated...

I hope the reports of a switch to 1230 are wrong. There is enough confusion abroad at the moment, let's not add to it.
