Ben White was sensational for us this season just gone. However I think the transfer fees being mentioned are getting to be ridiculous and I think it is a real risk to spend that proportion of our transfer kitty on 1 player.

Think it's time to be looking at plan B & C now. (Reluctantly).

Ben White needs to do what is best for himself. And recognise that it’s not staying at Brighton, where the team will be struggling or going to Liverpool where he will be watching from the side.

Becoming a distraction now. Hope they move on full blast and focus on his replacement.

Regardless of transfer fee not sure what he'll want salary wise- £50,000 per week for 4 year contract ?

    Liverpool squad salaries https://www.sportekz.com/football/li...-salaries/amp/

    MOT

If he wants bigger bucks than Leeds can offer as a wage, that's his call I guess, just seems a waste when he did so well, and got on so well with his team mates at Leeds.
i think if he gets a first team opportunity he will take it with aplomb. Sure he would add a lot to the Liverpool back 4 and sure Klopp is good at selling a vision but at Liverpool if you are good enough you get to play.

lets hope he wants to play for Leeds .... but 35 mill is a lot of dinero

Stepping up to Prem level, totally different thing - think at this point a transfer fee of around 10 -12 mill would be fair, there must be other options available - more experience etc, hardened to higher level of football. White for me would be a bit of a gamble.
12 mill is never getting you Ben White. We don't need 'hardened' players, we need players with correct skillset.

We should do whatever we can (within reason) to secure him on a long term deal. He is proven within our system and style of play and I have no doubt he will perform just as well as the higher level of the Premiership. He could be one of the main foundations of our team for the next 5 years and, if utilised properly, could become for us what Van Dijk is to Liverpool.
