Important we try and get something in Dingwall with the next game being Celtic, early days but still think it will be a difficult season and main thing is trying to remain out of the bottom two for us imo
Yeah, he did alright but when a player pulls up holding his hammy like he did, then continues to struggle, he needs to be taken off immediately, as a precaution at the very least. Did the injury play a part in the goal? Possibly.
Good results for us tonight.
Nothing to fear up North on Saturday. Hopefully some of the injuries clear up by then and we are able to give it a real go.
Smiths out for up to 6 weeks so it'll be 3 at the back again or Bolton to right back.
What about Freeman - RN’s great signing in the summer?
I though we competed well yesterday. We did have chances with Pawlett chance the pick of them.
MM is doing ok so far and I felt yesterday was part of the progression. Happy with the formations and the way he set it up and shuffled the pack against a tough Hibs side.
There were positives - Harkes and Butcher seem comfortable at this level and can still do us a job in the middle
The goal was really only because Edwards was injured and could not get across to cover or block
I think the step up in class of opposition also highlighted to MM where he needs to strengthen and focus.
There was no real penetration from midfield with Pawlett looking busier than before but not really producing. I think big Louis has to learn to control and distribute much better. Last season we could say he was a big raw laddie but he now needs to mature. Didn't really think Clark played much of a role. When we get any opportunity through free kicks, corners etc these have to be made to count. I thought his shooting was woeful, at least Chalmers hit the wall and got a corner!
Overall a much improved (if sterile) performance from essentially the same team as last year, but MM will have seen where he needs much more work to be done.
