After about 16 years my old record turntable has packed in and I wondered if anybody had any recommendations for a replacement.
I don't think it was a particularly expensive one, a bush.
I've seen a few around the £30 mark which I suspect is the sort of price range of my old one.
I don't know exactly as it was a Xmas present.
I'm happy to spend a bit more than that up to a couple of hundred tops

EDIT: No, the Richer Sounds model is the USB model so has more functions.

Rega Planar fella, made in England. The least expensive is the Planar 1, then they get more expensive as the numbers progress right up to Planar 10 which is the price of a small car lol. I have the Planar 2 and its fantastic. Not cheap, but brilliant turntables.

A top quality turntable will be a crap turntable if you hook it up to a rubbish amplifier

The Pro-Ject Essential III is also a good turntable, you can sometimes get it at for £260 at Richer Sounds.

Marantz or denon are very good brands.
Basic ones start in the low 100 pounds for marantz. Denon low 200s

CDs sound better anyway.
When people say vinyl has a "warm" sound this is mainly due to this:

Vinyl is more fun to collect though as the bigger size makes them more like art.
