Former Notts players that became managers

A fair few have returned to have a go at managing us, but what about elsewhere? Chris Wilder might become the best of the lot, there's probably been a fair few disasters though, seeing how badly some of them have done here.

The full list of former Notts players managing Notts is....
    Horace Henshall
    Eric Houghton
    Frank Broome
    Richie Barker
    Gary Mills
    Ian Richardson
    Ian McParland
    David Kevan
    Craig Short
    Shaun Derry
Plus a few others as caretakers for only 1 or 2 matches.

So obvious, THE most obvious, I've managed to overlook him.

So, hopefully, the complete revised list
    Horace Henshall
    Eric Houghton
    Frank Broome
    Tommy Lawton
    Richie Barker
    Gary Mills
    Ian Richardson
    Ian McParland
    David Kevan
    Craig Short
    Shaun Derry

Caretakers (or caretaker duos and even trios) include Dean Thomas, Mark Smith, Paul Hart, Richard Dryden & Alan Smith.

An obvious one for managing elsewhere.....
    Peter Reid (Sunderland)

    Not so obvious....
    Bert Loxley (Lincoln City)

Martin O' Neill hasn't done too bad as a manager.

Also obvious, Nigel Worthington (Northern Ireland), a post now held by Ian Baraclough.

Must be an Irish thing as Popular player Don O' Riordan has had a few roles as manager but not as successful as O' Neill & Worthington.

Didn’t Don Masson manage Kettering for a bit?

I'd forgotten Don O'Riordan managed Torquay United.

Don Masson did manage Kettering briefly and then David Needham took over.

    Charlie Palmer managed Belper Town.
