Can only be good for us if O’Donnell is looking for a move down south or wherever he will have to perform week on week. Knows the league well and is very experienced
We have a new defender! O'Donnell joins until January. Looks like a good move.

Seems an excellent move for both parties in the circumstances.
Agree the above and accept short term but must question why we acquired Lamie and McGinley ?
O'Donnell will be short term stop gap to cover for injuries. He's a right back, a position where we're light. Lamie and McGinley are left sided players who are both out injured for several months. Simples really.
Aye and apparently he can also play in the left. No doubt he'll be weaker there but we know Grimshaw can improve on the right and it would get Lamie off the left, where he's awful, and Mugabi back on the bench.
How unfortunate to have new recruits out injured the START of season, joining an already existing list of injuries. This a familiar occurrence, i.e. players signed with injury problems and their appearance delayed until too late to make an impact on team. Can't fathom why we don't have players coming thru these positions without the need add to squad, albeit temporary?
Robinson has increased our squad but with lack of quality, who are either injured or unfit (?)
McGinley injured himself on the opening day, he wasn't signed injured. Donnelly was also fit at the start of the season before being injured.
Robinson previously warned this won't be a great year for new faces out the youth team - it happens, especially as we've already sold/lost the best players from this year's batch.
O'Donnell on paper is an excellent bit of business that offers solutions to two problems. One was bad luck (left back and knock on effect in the middle), the other bad planning (letting Tait go with no new right back coming in).
