Wigan may not be able to start the new season

If this actually happens, will Wigan face further points reductions for not being able to fulfill their fixtures?

There's a lot of other clubs out there in financial trouble so I wouldn't be at all surprised if others go bust next season.

EFL seem to be ok with clubs not fulfilling fixtures so doubt they'll get points deduction for that!!

You wouldn’t have thought the efl would allow another bury situation to unravel again like last season.so if may have to become a going concern.strange but not surprising there were many bidders and interested parties prior to relegation from championship, but since the drop they seem to have dispersed.as we saw with bury everyone will think everything will be sorted.but you just never know these days..

At least two players have jumped ship one being Keifer Moore to Cardiff. Sounds like a club in big trouble. Bookies bet to drop again?

A lot of clubs have been up the creek for years.

    Yes, some truth in that.

Also some of the creditors of football clubs’ debt will themselves have gone bust

It will be a brave company that supplies services to a football club on anything beyond 30 days credit.

"Wigan's supporters' club has advanced the Latics the funds needed to buy next season's first-team kit."

Goes to show that as usual the fans are the mugs in football's financial game. Probably cost less than a couple of days pay to someone like KM as he waived them adios on his way out of the door to Cardiff.
